Music is everywhere, any sound combined together can be a beautiful music, and it can also bring energy to everyone. I'm not good at playing music, but I really enjoy the power and hope that music bring to me. In this blog, I'm going to share the music of culture and experience in Taiwan.
Baseball is a the most famous sport, also the national sport in Taiwan. We love baseball so much, so do I, even I'm a basketball player. In our baseball culture, we play support music, chant slogans, and cheerleaders dances, it's quite different than the Major League here in the US. Last year, Taiwan hosted World Baseball Classic, every teams is shcoked by our baseball culture, some coaches told the media that this bring huge power to support Team Taiwan and make them feel so much pressure.
Here's of one the clip of fans supporting Team Taiwan in WBC 2023
Not only in international games, we also have the same type of culture in the pro baseball league. The most impressive part is that every player on each team have their own version of slogan, music, and dance. Below are two different types of support music in pro baseball league.
High school graduation is a important ceremony to every student because they are now officially no longer a kid, have to take all the responsibility to whatever they do. After the graduation, all the classmates are going to different places to study or work, it's a sad time to say goodbye to familiar people and thinds. So many high school students write their own graduaiton song to preserve their memories, they not only work with classmates, some work with other school's students to write a song for students of the same calss. "Kite" is the most famous graduation song in Taiwan, it was written 12 years ago, and so schools still play this song for their graduation. The lyrics, music, and filming were all done by students, and it has over 17 million views on Youtube.
