Music and Me

Hello everyone, this is Harry, come from Taiwan, and I major in health and wellness. I also play basketball at Converse. I don't really have experience about playing instrument, just listen to music in my free time.

I grew up in Taiwan, there's six people in my family and a pet dog. I started playing basketball when I was 6, and after that, basketball became a huge part of my life. When I was in high school, I set a goal to play basketball in the US, and after hard working, I was recruited by Emory and Henry College. And from some reason, I transfer to Converse.

-My go to music
When I'm having practice or driving, I like to play rap music because it gives me great atmosphere. The album I listened to this summer is called "Big Thing," from a three men group in Taiwan named "MJ116."

-What music deeply important to me
The song I choose is talking about family and friendship. The lyrics is telling the process from birth to death, and the importance of seizing and cherish every moment in our life. It's called "Cheers," by a group of five called "Mayday." They released the song in 2011 when I was 7, but it still inspires me a lot.

-Music that I don't connect with
To be honest, there's no type of song that I don't like. A fun fact of me is that I don't really go to concert, I only go there during New Year's Eve, but just be there to watch the fireworks.

  1. Hi Harry, I really found interesting that you like playing rap music when you are practicing and driving because I actually do the same. I really love the fact that rap music gives me so much power and makes feel stronger when I am at the gym. Honestly, I never listened to any music from Taiwan before that one and I liked it, it was really nice to listen to a new music, I might put it in my playlist actually ! ;)

  2. Hey Harry, After watching the videos you put in your vlog I actually really enjoyed the music you picked I found it very interesting and fun to listen. I also like the fact that you listen to rap music while practicing because when I'm in the gym or doing something active I also like rap music because it really sets the mood and puts me in the right mindset.
